From Coast to Coast

Downtown buildings
Newfoundland

Today is a good day to catch up on some computer work. It is hot, hot, hot outside; unlike the day we landed in St. John's in torrential rain. Luckily it cleared a bit the following day so we could tour around this amazing seaside city. First stop - downtown, with its delightful blend of natural beauty, history and culture.

For this page I used Momenta cardstock with tags and cutouts from Authentique's Quest collection.

Here is the opposite page for my scrapbook:

Lighthouse and Tower
St. John's

We, of course, had to see some traditional tourist sites, so we headed to Signal Hill to catch up on our history and see some amazing landscapes. Then off to Cape Spear Lighthouse where we braved a stiff wind and got our exercise on the stairs! It was worth it to view the coast at this most easterly point of Canada. The gallery and cafe had not yet opened for the season, unfortunately. I think our next coffee stop was Tim Hortons.

For this page I used Bazzill cardstock and a mix of tags and brads from Authentique, Graphic 45 and Scrapbook Customs. As I wanted to highlight the photos, it is a fairly simple page.

And because I couldn't resist here is a closeup of part of page 1. (Sorry WestJet, but this is true.)

Thanks for letting me share some travel memories with you. There are many more pages to come, so stay tuned!

I hope these give some inspiration for your own journals and scrapbooks. You know what they say, "if it's not in the scrapbook, it didn't happen."
