Black and White Photo Magic

Updated: Jun 11, 2021

A while back we had a family photo shoot and some photos were taken in black and white. For this 8x8 calendar page I backed one photo onto layers of vintage paper and added some simple elements. You can see the calendar base peaking out in the back, but don`t let it distract you. The page will eventually be mounted onto chocolate brown cardstock.

Products used: Basic Grey Cardstock and Studio Light Denim elements, Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Update: June 11, 2021 Here is the finished layout. I was going to back it on brown, but decided instead on this fabulous denim blue textured cardstock by Bazzill Basics. I added more elements from the Studio Light Denim Saturdays die cut block, and a few stickers from Prima Marketing and Kaisercraft. Good to have a finished page, finally!

Here is another page, made for the scrapbook of the younger boy. Papers and elements are bright and colorful and give an entirely different look to the black and white photos.

Products used: Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills cardstock and stickers from BoBunny, Basic Grey and My Mind`s Eye. Most of these products are all on sale - look for them in the `discount section` of the website!

Hope this gives you some ideas to create your next layout with black and white photos. These are recent photos, but I have lots of old black and whites that need to eventually be released from the box they are stored in!

Have a wonderful Earth Day. Preserve your memories - preserve your photos!
