Traditional Christmas Vignette Boxes

A while back I started making some vignette boxes, and had to put that project on hold to take care of other things. Finally finished, and I admit this was not a quick project... Here is one of them. The box is 5x7 inch. I used Chibitronics to create the lighting effect. Chibitronics are tiny LED lights that adhere to copper tape, and yes, they are available at Scrappers` Cove.

I used a variety of patterned papers to line the box, and created the light filters with onion paper. The back sheet is adhered with foam tape.

The snowflake border and Candy Cane die are from Joy Craft, The stars shaped from Bazzill Basics paper. The border is nylon netting and the berries are Petaloo florals.

I could not find a battery box locally so I made one from chipboard. It is not ideal, but it works and holds a coin battery that can be replaced as needed. Unfortunately it does not have an on-off switch...

I trimmed the outside edge with ribbon, and tied some ribbon to the corners of the netting. I also sprinked lots of glitter and some bling, which doesn`t show up on the photos, but it reflects the light and makes for this delightful glittery decorations.

Other items used:

Bazzill Basics cardstock

Patterned Papers from Alexandra Renke and Carta Bella

Circle dies from Lifestyle Crafts

Star Nesting Dies from Spellbinders

I will make these again; I know now that I need to have a lot of time...
